1. Ordering
You can purchase a product through the online shop section of our website.
After submitting an order, you will be sent an order acknowledgement email with details of the product(s) you have ordered. Please note this email is an acknowledgement only and not an acceptance of your order. All orders placed by you are subject to acceptance by Old Castle Farm Hives. If your order includes products which are not available from stock, we will contact you by email or telephone. You will have the option to wait until the goods are available from stock or to cancel the order.
2. Payment Card Security
We use a trusted third-party payment provider, Worldpay, to process your payment card details for purchases made on this website, including Google Pay and Apple Pay. We do not receive or store any information on the contents of your payment card from Worldpay, only a notification that your payment was approved or declined. Payment card details are collected and processed on a secure, hosted payment page to ensure your details are never compromised.
We are PCI DSS compliant, maintaining regular scans and checks in line with payment card industry requirements.
We do not accept American Express.
3. Delivery Information and Costs
We operate standard business hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. We will arrange for your order to be shipped to you generally within 1 working day, subject to stock availability. We will notify you if stock is not available and advise on timings. You may then receive your order in parts but will not incur any additional delivery charges.
Orders placed before 2pm are generally dispatched for next working day delivery within mainland UK, though this is not guaranteed. Deliveries to Scotland may take up to 2 working days. Once a parcel has left our premises and is in the courier’s possession, we have no control over its handling and cannot guarantee delivery timings.
Once delivered, the product ordered will become your property and your responsibility, except in relation to products that are damaged or faulty when delivered or incorrectly delivered. We cannot accept any liability for their loss, damage or destruction after they have been delivered.
When possible, we will try to combine your ordered items so that we can reduce the delivery cost, in which case we will contact you and refund as necessary.

5. Cancellations and Returns
Please note you may receive slight variations of certain products (e.g. jars) due to supplier manufacturing processes. Some glass jars are made using recycled glass, which supports more sustainable packaging and can result in a slight colour tint (such as a faint green or blue tinge) compared to clear glass. This is normal in the industry and does not affect the jar’s quality, food safety, or volume.
You may cancel your order (or any part of it) at any point before products are delivered to you and up to 14 days afterwards. You may do so either by notifying us by email or writing to us, giving your full name, address and order details, or by returning the product(s). You may not cancel your order if the product has been customised or made to your own specifications, unless the products were faulty or damaged when delivered to you. We are not liable for any ill fit or inaccuracy of measurements, as we manufacture to the specific measurements given, and we cannot offer a refund. Where you decide to cancel an order after it has been dispatched, you will be under a duty to return the goods to us at your own risk and cost.
If goods are returned to us in a damaged, marked, scratched, worn, altered, or otherwise unsaleable condition, we reserve the right at our discretion to refuse a refund or to issue only a partial refund. This includes, but is not limited to, damage caused by improper handling, use, or inadequate packaging during the return process. All products must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, including all original packaging and accessories. All such goods should be returned within 14 days of your cancelling the order. Until such time as they are returned, you must retain possession of the products and take reasonable care of them. If goods are returned after the 14 day cooling off period, a 20% restocking fee may be charged.
